					<description>I would love it if my dogs always had GPS on them! I worry about them getting lost. Or I'd love to have all the rescue dogs I place have GPS chips. :)</description>

					<description>DIETARY SUPPLEMENTS: FDA Sets Final Rule for Human Dietary Supplement GMPs

A new final regulation announced by the FDA this week will require current good manufacturing practices for dietary supplements for humans.Although this rule does not apply to supplements for animals, APPMA members that manufacturer these products may want to be aware of the procedures the FDA is mandating to ensure that the supplements are produced in a quality manner, do not contain impurities or contaminants and are accurately labeled. Also, forthcoming during this year, will be a requirement for industry to report serious adverse events relating to human dietary supplements to the FDA.The rule includes requirements for establishing quality control procedures, designing and constructing manufacturing plants and testing ingredients and the finished products. It also includes requirements for testing and handling customer complaints. Under the rule, manufacturers will be required to evaluate the identity, purity, strength and composition of their dietary supplements.
